Green Bay Packers' first-year starting quarterback Jordan Love didn't look like a capable replacement to four-time MVP Aaron Rodgers halfway through the 2023 NFL season.
The Packers were 2-5 and Love's play was shaky. He had happy feet in the pocket, couldn't find his receivers deep, and was wildly inaccurate Through the first seven games of the season, throwing 11 touchdowns compared to eight interceptions.
Something clicked for Love and in a big way. Whether it was getting a few starts under his belt, finally grasping head coach Matt LaFleur's offense, or the young receivers starting to gel — Love has been on fire over the past few games.
Since their poor start, the Packers have gone 6-3. They now find themselves at 8-8 after a New Year's Eve win over the Minnesota Vikings and they're in a "win and you're in" scenario next weekend against the Chicago Bears.
Love's play since early November has been a huge reason for Green Bay's turnaround.
Jordan Love has 8 games where he has recorded multiple passing touchdowns and zero interceptions.

That is 1st in the NFL. pic.twitter.com/xri8Gcba9R
The #Packers have scored 42 total TDs this year.

Jordan Love is responsible for 34 (80%) of them...
By comparison, Lamar Jackson is responsible for only 56% of the Ravens TDs.
We sure Love isn't the MVP? pic.twitter.com/bdGCG5oWw1
Congrats to the packers on a big win last night. Jordan love is playing as good as any QB in the league and they can be a dangerous team in the playoffs if they get in.

Love has thrown for 3,843 yards and 30 touchdowns this season with 11 interceptions. He has an average QBR of 61.5 and an average passer rating of 93.8.
He's thrown for 19 touchdowns compared to just three interceptions since Nov. 5. He hasn't thrown an interception in three games and has had a passer rating over 100 in six of his past seven starts.
Love has proven to be the real deal, and if it weren't for his slow start, he'd undoubtedly be in the MVP conversation. To some, he still may be.
