Watch: Cardinals push TE Trey McBride across the goal line for TD

Having a plethora of teammates shove the ball carrier into the end zone works pretty well for the Philadelphia Eagles, so why not for the Arizona Cardinals?

With 6:32 left in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s matchup with the Baltimore Ravens, quarterback Joshua Dobbs connected with tight end Trey McBride on a 3rd-and-15 for arguably one of the hardest-fought touchdowns of the NFL season.

As the second-year TE fought his way to the goal line, he got a boost from several of his teammates as they pushed him into the end zone for the touchdown to cut the Baltimore lead to 24-15 in a “tush push”-like fashion, similar to the way the Eagles run their QB sneak with Jalen Hurts.

The Cardinals scored their first touchdown of the game in similar fashion. Dobbs took a goal-line snap and lunged forward on a "tush push" QB sneak midway through the first quarter.

The TE's score was Arizona’s first passing touchdown in 13 quarters and just the second touchdown of McBride’s career. His other came in 20-19 loss to the Atlanta Falcons in Week 17 of last season.

McBride is just the second Arizona tight end with a touchdown reception this year (Zach Ertz has the other), and he’s only the fourth Cardinals player with a touchdown reception in 2023.
